This privacy policy is given by Hazel Grove Baptist Church, a UK based charity with charity number 1133951 ("HGBC", "we", "our", "us").
In brief
Hazel Grove Baptist Church (HGBC) is a faith-based organisation with the following Statement of Faith:
- We believe in the unity of the Godhead, Father, Son and the Holy Spirit and that they are co-equal.
- We believe in the sovereignty and grace of God in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgment.
- We believe that the Bible was inspired by God and is the Christian’s sole authority in all matters of faith and conduct. We believe therefore that the Bible does not just contain the Word of God but that it is the Word of God.
- We believe in the universal sinfulness and guilt of human nature since the fall, making man subject to God's wrath and condemnation. In the light of this, we believe in the need for a person to be born again by the Holy Spirit and to be saved solely by the grace of God through faith alone in Jesus Christ. This is only made possible because of Jesus' death on the cross to make full atonement for our sin.
- We believe in the full deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God; His virgin birth and His real and sinless humanity; His substitutionary death on a cross, His bodily resurrection, His Ascension, His present reign in heaven and earth and in His future personal return. We therefore believe that Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man.
- We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in all those born again producing in them an increasing likeness to Christ in character and behaviour and empowering them for their witness in the world.
- We believe in the one holy universal Church which is the body of Christ and to which all true believers belong.
- We believe in the resurrection of the body and the judgment of the world by the Lord Jesus Christ.
- We believe in and adhere to the commands and practice of believer's baptism and the Lord's supper.
